Non-destructive testing applied to industry, construction, smart industries like heritage science and biomedical engineering.

The conference was held, with a wide thematic programme at the ORMYLIA Foundation premises, from 9th to the 11th of May 2025.
The Hellenic Society for Non-Destructive Testing (HSNT) Conference has is growing into a significant, robust, dynamic multidisciplinary scientific annual forum that brings together scientists, engineers, technologists, and industry professionals from all across Greece sharing insights, advancements, and applications in the rapidly evolving landscape of NDT.
This conference structure / programme reflected the transformative and broad application role of Non-Destructive Testing in various scientific fields. All the aspects of the NDT were “illuminated” tackling also the connection with Industry-Factory-NDE 4.0, artificial intelligence, data-driven analysis methods, cultural heritage research, biomedical engineering. These tools are revolutionizing traditional testing practices and opening new frontiers in areas such as structural health monitoring, advanced imaging techniques, predictive maintenance, and automation in industry. Therefore, the integration of engineering, data science, robotics, and industrial innovation meets the core principles of quality assurance and structural integrity of the field of Non-Destructive Testing was illuminated and must be illuminated further more.

Gathering the above-mentioned diverse perspectives from academia, research institutions, and industrial stakeholders, we hope to inspire meaningful dialogue, forge new partnerships, and catalyze future breakthroughs that will shape the next generation of NDT technologies and standards. It’s worth to mention that, there was also a session held, related to the standards and ISO systems evolving all the disciplines interchanging the problematic experiences from each of them, starting a construction dialogue for the optimal exchange of knowledge and experiences!
