Advances in Stochastic Modeling: In Honor of Jerzy Filus
This special issue of Research in Statistics is dedicated to honoring the life, legacy, and scientific contributions of Professor Jerzy Filus. We welcome high-quality submissions expanding upon research presented at the Invited Session in Memory of Jerzy Filus at WCDANM 2026 conference, as well as independent contributions that align with his foundational work.
Core Areas of Interest
We invite original research papers, review articles, and methodological advancements in the following areas:
Multivariate Distributions & Dependency Structures: Advanced modeling of complex stochastic dependencies.
Reliability Theory & System Safety: Stochastic modeling, aging properties, and system lifetime analysis.
Pseudo-Stochastic Systems: Theoretical frameworks and practical applications of pseudo-stochastic processes.
Survival Analysis: Parametric and non-parametric methods for time-to-event data.
Applied Stochastic Processes: Innovations in engineering, environmental sciences, and operational research.
Statistical Inference: Estimation and testing methods tailored for multi-component data.

Submission Instructions
Please be sure to choose the appropriate Special Issue title, "Advances in Stochastic Modeling: In Honor of Jerzy Filus" when submitting your paper via the Submission Portal.
