Benefits of Publishing in an Article Collection
An Article Collection is an opportunity for your research to reach the right audience. Bringing together the work of the global research community, Collections provide readers with a central place to find the latest research on emerging and important topics. They have been found to increase the discoverability and visibility of each article, as well as article-level citations.
Advances in Corneal, Refractive and Lens-Based Surgery
Corneal, refractive, and lens-based surgery has developed rapidly in recent years, driven by progress in diagnostic imaging, laser platforms, and intraocular lens technology. These advances have refined treatment options for refractive errors, presbyopia, cataract, and corneal disease.
Research is essential to provide objective clinical evidence for a more comprehensive evaluation of visual quality, treatment accuracy and stability, and patient satisfaction, all of which are increasingly important in making clinical decision. At the same time, advances in diagnostic imaging and personalized treatment algorithms are enabling earlier disease detection, more precise patient selection, individualized surgical planning, and improved risk assessment.
This Article Collection welcomes original research, clinical studies, systematic and narrative reviews, and other relevant article types addressing topics such as:
- Laser vision correction
- Phakic intraocular lenses
- Presbyopia correction
- Refractive lens exchange
- Modern cataract surgery
- Intraocular lens technology
- Corneal imaging and biomechanics
- Ocular surface optimization
- Keratoconus and other corneal disorders
- Corneal transplantation
- Emerging diagnostic and surgical technologies
