Benefits of Publishing in an Article Collection

An Article Collection is an opportunity for your research to reach the right audience. Bringing together the work of the global research community, Collections provide readers with a central place to find the latest research on emerging and important topics. They have been found to increase the discoverability and visibility of each article, as well as article-level citations.

Inflammation in Occupational and Environmental Diseases: Mechanisms, Biomarkers, and Therapeutic Perspectives

The Journal of Inflammation Research is pleased to welcome you to submit your research to the Article Collection "Inflammation in Occupational and Environmental Diseases: Mechanisms, Biomarkers, and Therapeutic Perspectives".

Inflammation is a central mechanism underlying the development and progression of numerous occupational and environmental diseases. Exposure to airborne pollutants, particulate matter, industrial chemicals, metals, pesticides, occupational dusts, environmental toxins, and emerging contaminants can trigger acute and chronic inflammatory responses that contribute to respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, metabolic, and systemic disorders.

This Article Collection aims to bring together original research, reviews, and translational studies that explore inflammatory mechanisms associated with occupational and environmental exposures and their impact on human health. The Collection will provide a platform for interdisciplinary research bridging inflammation biology, occupational medicine, environmental health, toxicology, epidemiology, and clinical medicine.

Submissions may include, but are not limited to:

  • Inflammatory mechanisms induced by occupational and environmental exposures
  • Air pollution, particulate matter, and systemic inflammation
  • Occupational lung diseases and inflammatory pathways
  • Chemical and metal exposure-related inflammatory disorders
  • Pesticides, endocrine disruptors, and immune dysregulation
  • Neuroinflammation associated with environmental toxicants
  • Cardiovascular inflammation resulting from occupational and environmental exposures
  • Environmental contributors to chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases
  • Immunotoxicology and inflammatory responses to emerging contaminants
  • Oxidative stress and inflammation in occupational diseases
  • Inflammation biomarkers for exposure assessment and disease prediction
  • Omics approaches in occupational and environmental inflammation research
  • Environmental justice and population susceptibility to inflammatory diseases
  • Prevention, intervention, and therapeutic strategies targeting related inflammatory pathways

The Collection welcomes:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses
  • Brief Reports
  • Perspectives
  • Clinical and Translational Studies

Keywords: Inflammation; Occupational health; Environmental health; Occupational disease; Biomarkers
