Call for Papers
Professor Bryan D MacGregor was founding editor of the Journal of Property Research and led the journal for more than 35 years. As one of the leading scholars in property research, his research spanned real estate economics and finance, with a particular focus on the behaviour of commercial property markets.
This special issue is in honour of Bryan’s legacy and his immense contributions to real estate scholarship. We invite high-quality research papers in the following areas that reflect his broad research interests, including:
· Real estate market dynamics: rental adjustment, vacancy rates, and asymmetric responses to demand/supply shocks
· Real estate finance and investment performance, portfolio diversification, and asset allocation
· Inflation-hedging properties of real estate versus stocks and bonds
· Housing markets - submarkets, hedonic pricing, reverse mortgages
· Land use, planning, and rural/urban economic geography
This list is not exhaustive and interested authors are encouraged to contact Guest Editors with their proposals. Please take note of the following requirements if you wish to have your paper considered for this Special Issue:
- · All papers must meet the Aims and Scope of the journal;
- · All papers submitted will be subject to the normal double blind refereeing process undertaken by the journal;
- · Submitted papers must not be under review by any other journal.;
- · Articles must be analytic and rigorous, not merely descriptive.
